Western Washington University Men’s Rugby is proud to announce the appointment of three new members to its Alumni Board of Directors for the 2025–2026 season: John Tennant, Vincent Petisme, and Max Stone. Each of these individuals brings a unique combination of leadership experience, professional expertise, and a lasting dedication to the WWU Rugby program.
This transition marks an exciting new chapter for the club, as the Alumni Board continues its mission to support the development, visibility, and sustainability of WWU Rugby—both on and off the field. The addition of Tennant, Petisme, and Stone signals continued momentum toward long-term growth and alumni engagement.
John Tennant, who served as WWU Rugby Club President from 1996 to 1999, returns to the program with over two decades of experience in financial advisory services. A respected leader and strategic thinker, Tennant’s professional insight and historic connection to the program will be a tremendous asset to the board.
Vincent Petisme, a WWU Rugby alum from 1994 to 1996, brings both business acumen and a robust rugby background to the team. Currently working as a CFO consultant, Petisme has remained active in the rugby world through his time with Eastside Rugby Club and the Philippines developmental 7s team. His dual perspective as both a player and professional makes him well-equipped to support the club’s broader goals.
Max Stone, a recent graduate from the Class of 2024, is now pursuing a law degree at Pepperdine University. Stone returns to WWU Rugby in a leadership capacity as the Alumni Board Vice President, continuing his commitment to the program through strategic support, outreach, and advocacy. As a recent player and emerging professional, Stone brings valuable continuity and fresh perspective to the board.
The WWU Rugby Alumni Board plays a critical role in supporting the team’s operations, development initiatives, and alumni engagement strategies. With a renewed focus on long-term sustainability and community-building, the board’s evolving leadership reflects the strength and depth of the program’s alumni network.
As the 2025–2026 season approaches, the program looks forward to building on recent successes and continuing to elevate WWU Rugby as a cornerstone of the university’s athletic and student leadership experience.
