Fresh off a sweep of UW

Western swept the University of Washington at home on October 24. The A side won 59-0 and the B side won 43-26.

Coach Adam Roberts said the results came after facing adversity the last few weeks, and represent growth, resilience and belief.

A season on the road

The UW sweep followed a stretch that tested the group. Western lost 52-7 at Arizona on October 17 and 31-26 at Oregon State the same weekend. Earlier in October, the D1A side opened with a 47-28 win at UVIC. The Vikings head south on Saturday looking to carry the pace and physicality they showed against UW into Berkeley.

About the opponent

Cal is a program with real history in the college game. Western’s trip to Witter Field is another chance to measure the group against the best in D1A.
