Western Rugby Alumni extends heartfelt congratulations and thanks to our graduating seniors for the 2024–2025 season: Charlie Funk, Aidan Aschoff, and Charlie Moore. These outstanding athletes have left an indelible mark on our program, both on and off the field.
- Charlie Funk, a dynamic winger from Seattle, WA, electrified the pitch with his speed, agility, and game-changing runs. A standout on and off the field, Funk earned his degree in Business/Marketing, was named the 2024 D1AA 7s National Championship Tournament MVP, and was honored as a 2024 CRAA D1AA All-American.
- Aidan Aschoff, a powerful lock hailing from Santa Clarita, CA, anchored the lineout with his imposing presence and invaluable leadership. He also earned his degree in Environmental Studies, reflecting his commitment to both the game and the world beyond the pitch.
- Charlie Moore, a versatile prop, hooker, and flanker from Port Orchard, WA, skillfully brought versatility to the tight five—playing prop, hooker, and flanker with determination and grit. He also earned his degree in Kinesiology, combining his on-field experience with a strong academic foundation in human movement and performance.
Their dedication to the team, commitment to training, and leadership within the squad have been instrumental in our successes this season. As they move forward into new adventures, their influence will continue to resonate throughout the program.
