Match Report
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. Western Washington University Men's Rugby opened their CRAA D1AA 15s National Tournament campaign on Friday with a hard-fought victory over Millennia Atlantic University at KUNTZ Stadium, securing their place in the National Championship Final.
The Vikings, who arrived in Indianapolis as Northwest Collegiate Rugby Conference (NCRC) Champions, were tested throughout by a physical and spirited Millennia Atlantic side. The match was close and contested, with WWU ultimately demonstrating the composure and depth that has defined their 2025–26 season, delivering the decisive points late to seal the result.
The win caps a strong tournament opener for a WWU program that has now reached multiple national tournament stages in recent seasons. With a young and experienced core, the Vikings showed they are capable of grinding out results under pressure, a quality that will be tested again in Sunday's final.
Reaction from the Team
Captain Harry Moore and Director of Rugby Paul Horne both reflected on what was a demanding but ultimately rewarding performance from the Vikings.
It was a fight and we earned it.... really proud of the boys today.

...there was a lot of spirit out there, but fortunately we maintained our composure enough to put some more points on the board there at the very end. It felt pretty good.
