
Preston Worth was a key member of the WWU Rugby program and the Chuckanut Bay Rugby Club. He played for WWSC in the early seventies and became a generous supporter of the Western Washington Rugby program and Chuckanut Bay Rugby Club.
Preston Worth passed away in 2020. He was a gifted athlete who demonstrated integrity on and off the field.
In honor of Preston, his wife Jackie and his children Courtney and Logan set up the Worth Davis Family Fund to continue supporting Preston's love for the game of rugby.
Western Rugby Alumni has established the Preston Worth Rugby Scholarship. This scholarship is funded by generous donations from former teammates, alumni, friends, and family. The scholarship provides three $3,000 scholarships for students, allocated at $1,000 per quarter for three quarters. The recipients are students from Washington or Oregon who have been accepted to Western Washington University and are committed to playing for the WWU Men’s Rugby Program. The scholarship assists with the cost of tuition and standard fees.

Bill Goren is the Chief Executive Officer of USA Rugby, where he leads the national governing body in expanding the sport’s reach and commercial impact across the United States. His leadership is currently focused on the strategic growth of the game at all levels in preparation for the 2028 LA Olympics and the Men's 2031 and Women's 2033 Rugby World Cups.
